Let’s admit it. Time to time we all neglect caring for ourselves because we’re all busy, right? Listen, I get it. The daily hustle and bustle can put a mental and physical strain on anyone. Usually, it’s hard to care for yourself when everything in life is demanding your attention. However, caring for yourself is just as important as everything else on your to-do list. Just remember nothing functions, without a functional you. Here are a few of my self-care practices and tips you might find helpful for you.


  1. Manage your time.
  2. Get a social media detox.

  4. Exercise on a regular basis.
  5. Have healthy eating habits. Three meals daily, cut down caffeine and sugar.
  6. Detox all the junk in your body by drinking detox tea. Click here for the recipe.
  7. Get a good night sleep every night.
  8. Do not be afraid to say no.
  9. Organize your space.
  10. Listen to upbeat music.
  11. Sing even if you have a terrible voice. Dance even if you’re a terrible dancer.
  12. Forgive yourself and be patient with yourself.
  13. Express yourself. Be creative.
  14. Don’t be over-reactive. Think before reacting.
  15. Get a medical check-up. Get a physical.
  16. If extremely depressed, don’t be scared to seek professional help.
  17. Take care of your body, hair, teeth, skin.
  18. Meditate or/and pray daily.
  19. Take walks daily.
  20. Take a hot or cold shower.
  21. Surround yourself with positive people.
  22. Laughter is the best medicine, so treat yourself to a comedy regularly.
  23. Always remember to smile.
  24. Recognize and stop any negative habits, negative thoughts, and negative self-talk.

  26. Have alone time, just for you and yourself.
  27. Do not overthink things.
  28. Never worry about what people think.
  29. Talk to your friends outside of social media. Call or meet up with your friends instead.
  30. Love yourself unconditionally.
  31. Be true to yourself and others.
  32. Listen to your intuition. Follow your heart.
  33. Despite all obstacles, focus on self-growth.
  34. Big or small celebrate your achievements.
  35. Remember that you are never too old to have fun.
  36. Do not take everything so serious.
  37. Be grateful.
  38. Prioritize your needs.
  39. If it’s not your business, mind your business.
  40. Put your phone on silent after 6 p.m.
  41. Start your day with affirmations.
